Fábio Kerche is PhD in Political Science from University of São Paulo (USP), with an internship at New York University (NYU). He is a professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), was a tenured researcher at the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation and a research fellow at the American University, in Washington, DC.

He is the author of Virtude e Limites: autonomia e atribuições do Ministério Público no Brasil (Edusp, 2009), and one of the organizers of three other books: Reforma Política e Cidadania (Fundação Perseu Abramo, 2003), Operação Lava Jato e a Democracia Brasileira (Contracorrente, 2018), and Governo Bolsonaro: retrocesso democrático e degradação política (Autêntica, 2021). He is a researcher at the INCT/IDDC -Institute for Democracy and Democratization of Communication.
