Rurion Soares Melo<\/strong> is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo and a researcher at the Brazilian Centre for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP). Between 2007 and 2008, he was a visiting researcher at J. W. Goethe Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt am Main and Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin. He coordinates the Group for the Study of Politics and Critical Theory at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo and is also a member of the CEBRAP’s Rights and Democracy Nucleus; and of the Interuniversity Research Group on Critical Philosophy and Modernity (FiCeM).<\/p>\n
