Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Social and Political Studies (IESP) at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), working in the areas of Quantitative Methods and Social Stratification. He graduated in Social Sciences from UFMG, Master and PhD in Sociology from the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (2017). He did a post-doctoral internship in Political Science at USP and was visiting scholar at the Department of Sociology at Columbia University. He is an associate researcher at the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM-USP), an affiliated scholar at the Brazil Lad of Princeton University and a member of the Public Policy and Society Solidarity Research Network. He worked as a methodological consultant for several research groups and also taught several courses in programming and statistical methods for institutions and universities in Brazil. He currently researches long-term trends in income inequality in Brazil, using historical surveys and administrative data, as well as contemporary microdata.
