He is a tenured professor at the Institute of Social and Political Studies at Rio de Janeiro State University (IESP-UERJ), where he coordinates the Brazilian Legislative Observatory (<a href=\"https:\/\/olb.org.br\/\">OLB<\/a>), the Congress Studies Centre (<a href=\"http:\/\/necon.iesp.uerj.br\/\">NECON<\/a>), the Economics and Politics Studies Group (<a href=\"http:\/\/geep.iesp.uerj.br\/\">GEEP<\/a>) and the Legal Amazon Geopolitical Studies Laboratory (<a href=\"https:\/\/legal-amazonia.org\/\">LEGAL<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is a 1B research productivity researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnpq.br\/\">CNPq<\/a>), a Scientist of Our State researcher at the Rio de Janeiro Research Support Foundation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faperj.br\/\">FAPERJ<\/a>) and a Pro-Science researcher (UERJ). Former president of the Brazilian Political Science Association (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cienciapolitica.org.br\/\">ABCP<\/a>) and the National Association of Postgraduate Programmes in Social Sciences (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.anpocs.com\/\">ANPOCS<\/a>). Associate editor of the Journal of Politics in Latin America (<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/home\/pla\">JPLA<\/a>), member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Political Science, and member of the editorial board of several national scientific journals in the humanities.
